The class begins in the fall, this year on Saturday, September 7 at 345pm in the parish hall of Holy Trinity. Each session goes from 345 to 515, every Saturday - with some exceptions - into the spring.

Yes. Each class ends at 515pm followed by the service of Great Vespers at 530pm.

If someone wants to learn, really learn, what it means to be an Orthodox Christian, then yes. A class in an academic sense can only relay information and ideas at best. The Orthodox Church is a relationship. Relationships take time, patience, and conversation.

When someone expresses a desire to join the Orthodox Church, they will be enrolled into the rank of catechumen. This is a Greek word for learner. Catechumens are required to attend one year of the class before being received into the Orthodox Church.
